Hagan Davis Serves as Principal Sponsor of Capital Connects!

One of PTEN’s (Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurial Network) signature programs is its annual Capital Connects! Breakfast Event. Over 110 companies have participated since 2004 and those companies have raised over $33 million in outside equity directly and indirectly from the event.

The Capital Connects! Event provides high-impact, high-growth companies from across the Piedmont region the opportunity to raise capital by presenting their companies to:

  • Local accredited investors getting a “first look” opportunity at deals from the Triad and across North Carolina.
  • Venture funds and angel investors from outside the region who come to the Triad to hear from new ventures and meet the entrepreneurs in a presentation/networking format.

Hagan Davis attorneys have been active in the entrepreneurial community for years and will actively assist in various aspects of this year’s event - which built on the strong base from prior years. The Grandover Resort was the host site for the seventh annual Capital Connects! Breakfast on Thursday, August 28, 2008. The top 20 deals selected by a screening committee were featured, including companies from the pre-seed stage to those looking to raise Series B or later rounds of capital. Some more mature companies ready for mezzanine capital may also present. Four of the 20 companies were provided the opportunity to make detailed in-depth presentations regarding themselves and the investment opportunity they represent.
